Mobile Photography – MIRA Mobile Prize – Winner and Shortlist Results 2017 – Black & White Street Photography
I am so excited to publish the results of the Black and White Street Photography MIRA Mobile Prize competition 2017. Manuela Matos Monteiro, the host invited mobile photographers throughout the world to capture the true character and essence of a street environment including people, traffic, gardens and public places. This year the Jury comprised of Alfredo Cunha, Armineh Hovanesian, Brendan O Se, Edward Santos, Nadine Benichou and Tracy J Thomas and you will see from the quality of images selected, the high calibre of this years jury. Mobile Photography – Final Call for Entries to Huawei and Dazed ‘Reveal the Real You’ Photography Initiative
Global smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, and youth culture magazine, Dazed, are issuing a final call for creatives to enter their ‘Reveal the Real You’ initiative. Due to high demand, entries to the community-led photo project have been extended to October 1st 2017 and will see three collaborators awarded a £10,000 bursary to donate to the community cause of their choice. The project is the latest partnership from Huawei that aims to inspire people to use their smartphone as a tool of self-expression. Mobile Photography Awards 2017 (MPA) Now Open for Submissions
The Mobile Photography Awards (MPAs) have been a mainstay to the Mobile Photography and Art community for seven years. Featuring some of the very best artists throughout the world, celebrating their immense talent and energy. This years competition is now open to receive your submissions until 11 Deceomber 2017 and as always there is a grand prize of $3,000 up for grabs. Adobe brings to life the 100-year old brushes of Edvard Munch and Competition
Adobe has today announced an innovative, first of its kind project, The Hidden Treasures of Creativity, which will digitally recreate the over 100-year old paint brushes of Edvard Munch to inspire a new generation of master painters. In collaboration with The Munch Museum in Oslo and award winning Photoshop brush maker Kyle T. Webster, Adobe has digitally replicated seven of Munch’s original brushes and made them available in Creative Cloud for Photoshop and Sketch users worldwide. With the support of the Munch Museum’s conservation experts, Munch’s original brushes were photographed in 360 degrees using ultra-high-resolution cameras, which captured all angles and details to create an accurate three dimensional representation.
