FIPA Mobile Photography Most Wanted Visionaries Exhibition – 2015
Huge congratulations to the twenty artists whose works have been selected for the incredible honour to be exhibited at the Tethys Fine Art Gallery, Florence, Italy. This exhibition is one part of the Summer 2015 series of mobile photography and art exhibitions in association with the NEM the Florence International Photography Awards (FIPA), organised by Andrea Bigiarini (see here). The prize is looking to discover talent and celebrate the best in photography, giving image makers access to new opportunities and world-wide audience for their work. It is open to anyone worldwide, and closes 12 June 23:59 GMT+1, London, UK time. A prestigious judging panel, exhibition in London and over £6000/$9000 worth in prizes. I’m very excited about this wonderful competition, the NEM Florence International Photography Awards (FIPA), of which TheAppWhisperer has been very generously given a special section. The theme is ‘Gates of Paradise’ I selected this theme to honour the gilded bronze doors of Florence’s Baptistery of San Giovanni and as inspiration for all mobile artists to create a magnificent work of art; not depicting the literal ‘Gates of Paradise’ but to portray, what the ‘Gates of Paradise’ represent to you. Think widely a place of contentment, a garden, being with a loved one, a tranquil location to retreat in times of stress. One question I’ve been asked quite a lot recently…
