Very much like the successful gifting facility in the Apple App Store, BlackBerry has now announced a new mobile gifting platform that will integrate with BlackBerry App World and carrier billing systems to allow BlackBerry subscribers to instantly gift airtime, apps and other carrier services from one subscriber to another using BBM. Starbucks Now Accepts Mobile App Payments
Starbucks, the Seattle-based coffee store chain, announced today that its mobile payment system is now available nationwide, allowing users to pay for items using the Starbucks Card Mobile app available for the iPhone and Blackberry. Starbucks Card Mobile is a free app compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch. To make payments through the app, a registered Starbucks card is required. 104 million iPhone users VS 12 million Android users on Facebook
With all the latest user stats for Facebook being displayed it is now possible to find out how many specific users are using Facebook based on their cell phones. It is incredible albeit not all surprising that the iPhone contributes with over 104 million active monthly users, second are Blackberry users that make up nearly 60 million active users, in third place it is the Android fan boys with 12 million and WebOS/Palm make up 2,500 users.
