    2011-06-06 / 1 Comment

Following Jobs’ announcement today at the WWDC of the new ‘Reading List", one of the many fab new features coming with iOS 5, Marco Arment vented on Twitter – ‘shit’. Hmm, I think this update may make just a few developers quite edgy. Arment went on to Tweet ‘Glad I’ve invested in social and editorial features. Not dead yet!”. I still think he has some ground to cover, but maybe he’ll jump ship and head over to Android….

2011-06-02 / Comments Off on Photobucket Joins Twitter To Offer Photo Integration

Twitter announced earlier today that their users will soon be able to attach pictures directly to tweets and that this capability will be coming soon to its official mobile apps and Twitter.com. Twitter is partnering with Photobucket, an image hosting company that was founded in 2003, to host users’ photos.   Currently, Twitter users rely on a 3rd-party image hosting service, like Posterous, TwitPic, yfrog and others, to save tweeted pictures and video. Twitter also announced a revamped search feature for the micro-blogging service that is promised to provide more relevant search results plus related photos and videos. Twitter’s announcement today comes on the heels of a report by Techcrunch…

2011-03-01 / Comments Off on Apple To Announce Social App At Tomorrow’s Event

The internet is overflowing with rumors that Apple will announce a social networking app at the iPad 2 launch tomorrow. Our expectations of the imminent announcement of iOS 5 are indeed high and we can’t help but wonder whether it will all get wrapped together. We also know that Apple have been working on a new version of MobileMe so maybe it is something to do with that. Again it could be something to do with Ping, of course no one will know for sure until the event fires up tomorrow. We will be covering it live, so make sure you keep checking back for that. Maybe we will see…
