OlloClip announces new Pro and Intro lenses for mobile devices
OlloClip, the company behind some of the best known add-on lenses for mobile devices, has introduced two new collections aimed at either ends of the market. Add-on lenses are conversion lenses that alter the focal length of the lens on your mobile device and are a convenient way of expanding functionality. A new Multi-Device clip aimed at attaching the lenses to a wider range of devices has also been added to the range. Although OlloClip were one of the first to market with converters for the iPhone, the company has shied away from the premium end. Mobile photography has capsulated self portraiture, or selfies as they are known. Offering the ultimate notion of control, you’re not trusting someone else to capture you, you’re deciding how to frame yourself, you’re not relying on someone else to make you look good. The paradox at the heart of selfies is that they masquerade as a candid shot but in reality they are posed and often heavily edited.
