This weeks it is my pleasure to lavish you with love within our showcase, not that we need it to be Valentine’s Day to do so, but it is rather apt that it is. Who would have thought we would have had such a tumultuous year, when we look back? Portraits and Dreams a rare book by Wendy Ewald has been revised and expanded since it was first published in 1985. Officially described as ‘an American masterpiece‘ and no wonder. I have the newly updated version which has already sold out. The content a completely fascinating account of children living in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in 1975.
