I was delighted to come across this fabulous article on the Instagram blog yesterday. It features Nasya Kopteva (@nasyakopteva) and details the wonderful mail art that she creates today. Nasya and her friend Sasha exchange ‘painted post stories and try to surprise and delight each other’. Nasya explains, “I am a completely visual person. Halftone 2 – Updated
Halftone 2 can now create 3D comics! Put on your 3D anaglyph glasses, and watch your balloons, captions, and stamps pop right out of the page. Halftone 2 for iPad was released less than two weeks ago as an Apple Editors’ Choice, and since then, it’s had nearly 250,000 downloads. The developers heard from users that they wanted more graphical elements in the free version, and they’re proud to announce that the update that is now available in the store (version 1.0.1) adds more captions, stamps, paper textures, and layouts. Analog Camera – iOS App Review
On May 29, 2013, Realmac Software released their newest app, Analog Camera. Toting their new app as, “the fastest and easiest way to take, process and share photos…” as well as “…designed to be fluid and effortless to use.” Receiving this app same day as its release, I’ve had some time to take a close look at what this app can do. Eye-Fi Mobi – New – Easy Streaming Of Images To A Mobile Device
Eye-Fi have just released a brand new card which makes the process of sending images to a mobile device, seamless. Currently it only works on iOS and Android devices. Eye-Fi do have the X2 card which operates in a similar way but the Mobi card simplifies the process by including an instantaneous setup with pairing along with real-time sharing that updates your mobile’s camera roll as you take your shots and it’s fast but we’re not sure how fast as yet. NEM/The Hungry Ghost – ‘Void’ Competition
NEM and The Hungry Ghost Facebook group are running a new competition. They have invited artists to create artwork that depicts the term ‘Void’. Sixteen artists’ works have now been selected and they are now involved in a vote with the public. After one week the top three will be determined and each with have a t-shirt printed of their image as a prize, in addition these three will also have T-shirts produced and auctioned off for charity.
