Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 10 June 2018
“Happily ever after is a very relative thing. I’m grateful that I get to be alive”, this is one of the many excerpts from the deepest conversations I had for many years, with our mutual friend, dear Carolyn Hall Young. I miss her immensely, everyday and everyone I’ve ever spoken to, who has known her, has the same feelings. Why is it that some people make such an impact on our lives, out of the thousands and thousands that we know now or will know, what is it, that pushes them into our hearts and keeps them there? There are many answers to this complex question and I would say…

Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 15 April 2018
Urgently contemporary, this weeks mobile photography and art flickr group showcase is a huge thrill and I know all about thrills. This week I chatted with a friend, one I’ve not seen for such a long time. The most charming man, the most fragrant and also the most generous. Slipping back into rambling conversations about, art, photography and sex, we absorbed and absolved one another as we nudged the English language to its limits. Art as in life, is about desire and the mobile photographers and artists that we have featured in this weeks showcase, have satiated mine. There’s real humanity in this showcase, with insights into love and longing…

Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2018 From Artists Throughout The World
We are delighted to publish our New Year Resolutions for 2018 from a selection of highly talented mobile photographers and artists throughout the world. As in previous years we have asked mobile photographers and artists for their New Year Resolutions with an accompanying image or video . Thank you to everyone who has contributed, they all make great reading, viewing and are inspiring, we are forever grateful to you all. When thinking of a New Year resolution for myself, I tend to think more of it as a new year plan, one that I contribute to each day. Some days I will contribute more to it than others, starting with baby…

Mobile Photography & Art – Happy Thanksgiving Post…
Happy Thanksgiving! This is our first year of asking mobile photographers and artists to contribute a Thanksgiving image, representing their thoughts, along with a few sentences expressing what mobile photography and art means to them and considering what they’re thankful for in relation to it. Some have mentioned our wonderful community, some have mentioned the actual hardware, all have made tremendous contributions and I am personally thankful to everyone who has participated in this ray of light. Please do note that I have been working on this article for over one month and round the clock the past few days, to try to ensure it was published today. If I…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 27 August 2017
“There is a form of envy of which I frequently have seen examples, in which an individual tries to obtain something by bullying. If, for instance, I enter a place where many are gathered, it often happens that one or another right away takes up arms against me by beginning to laugh; presumably he feels that he is being a tool of public opinion. But lo and behold, if I then make a casual remark to him, that same person becomes infinitely pliable and obliging. Essentially it shows that he regards me as something great, maybe even greater than I am: but if he can’t be admitted as a participant…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 16 July 2017
Seduction has its own narrative and this weeks mobile photography and art showcase is arranged accordingly. How far you can go is a question in art, as in life and in mobile art life, there’s no limit. It’s been said that the art of seduction is rarely seductive but this of course depends on your own view, function before fantasy or vice versa. In England, a psychological study revealed the secret that it’s said history’s greatest seducers have known all along, a sense of humour. Particularly and most likely biased, a British self-deprecating humour apparently. The most important thing is not to take ourselves too seriously, outlaw pomposity and self…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Showcase – 14 May 2017
“You can learn a lot about a person from the way he or she eats — about the extent of his physical appetites and the way they are satisfied. There are those who will try anything offered to them, no matter how new or exotic, while others refuse to accept any but the most familiar fare — obviously not the adventurous type to new experiences”. A quote from a book that caught my eye this week, ‘The Seducer’s Cookbook’ by Mimi Sheraton, I thoroughly recommend it. Whenever I dine out with someone new, it’s always telling to me, discovering the others’ tastes and I have discovered that’s it’s not just…
