Rise of the five-to-nine workers – online ‘side hustles’ are turning Gen-Z passions into profit
There are widespread reports that the number of people with a side hustle is increasing at an unprecedented rate, and google searches for the term ‘side hustle’ up 62% from 2017 to 2018, there’s plenty of evidence that more people are embracing their entrepreneurial side. However, new research by mobile tech brand HONOR has revealed that young Brits in particular are making money in more creative ways, with a little help from their smartphones. All the players in this weeks mobile photography and art showcase come together in a heightened climax whilst simultaneously unravelling within an orgy of sight and sound. There’s a sense of joy thats imperative throughout, as we begin at the end with an an image, untitled by I Rome, lending a certain panache. It revels in nostaligic as it glides overwrought with energy matching the earnest angst of the narrative, complemented by the mournful strains of Veda Gail’s ‘Falling Too’.
