Mobile Photography & Art Flickr and Instagram Showcase – 18 October 2020
We try to make magic here at TheAppWhisperer.com as often as possible and I am very excited to announce that this week has been no exception… having bonded with Steve and Janet Wozniak (Woz) – Apple co-founder and his wife, four years ago, over our love, care and admiration for Carolyn Hall Young and her works, if you missed that please go here. I felt I should write to Woz once more and this time to share The Quilt Project – arguably considered to be one of the 21st century’s most important poetic pieces and a defining staple of mobile art. Now that we have published the official book for…

Mobile Art – A Message from Steve and Janet Wozniak for Carolyn Hall Young
Sometimes we make magic, as long as we have hope over fear and we all know that Carolyn Hall Young would agree with that. As you know, she is very ill at the moment, in hospital. A few days ago, I wrote to Steve Wozniak of Apple and tried very hard to describe Carolyn to him and how much she loves Apple. The opportunities they have all given her by creating incredible products enabling her to continue to create art, despite her medical challenges. I also attached the TrueView video she made talking explaining what her work says about mobile photograph and mobile art (link), so he could really get…

Steve Wozniak: Apps are changing our life so much – and it’s going to stay that way
As you may know, we’re Media Partners for AppsWorld Europe this year and they recently talked with Apple co-fournder Steve Wozniak who will also be at AppsWorld what his thoughts were on apps. This is what he had to say… “When I have a thought, my thought often starts with a noun, a thing, something in existence that I want, or an action I want to take, and I say ‘Okay, I want to speak to that thing’,” Wozniak notes. “Well now we’re getting apps, and apps have names – and that’s kind of confusing because you have a lot of different names for the same sort of apps, for…

Apple’s Forgotten Founder Pens Autobiography
Best known as the third forgotten founder of the Apple Computer Company, Ronald G. Wayne has written an autobiography that is now available at booksellers everywhere. Ron was instrumental in the creation of the formation of the company, but walked away from the tech start-up just weeks after it was established. "Adventures of an Apple Founder" offers insight into the experiences that informed his decision to participate, as well as to leave a short time later. It is widely known that in the late 1970s Steve Jobs & Steve Wozniak founded Apple Computer in a garage in Northern California. What is less known is that Apple was founded twice,…

Return Of The Woz?
Steve Wozniak Segway and Apple extraordinaire was interviewed by Reuters in Brighton, England this week. Wozniak was attending the SQLbits conference to present awards to winners as his position as Chief Scientist for storage company Fusion-io affords. He was quoted as saying ‘I’d consider it, yeah’, when asked if he would consider returning to an active role within Apple if asked, according to AppleInsider. "There’s just an awful lot I know about Apple products and competing products that has some relevance, some meaning," he went on to say. "My thinking is that Apple could be more open and not lose sales," said Wozniak, while adding, "I’m sure they’re making the…
