PocketScout – Temporary Price Drop
PocketScout is a nifty little app that helps take the frustration out of scouting locations on your iPhone. It’s got some cool features, for example when shooting an image it gives the direction you were facing when you snapped the shot. Portfolio for iPad – Updated
Portfolio for iPad is a popular presentation tool and is a welcome addition to many photography businesses for showcasing their images, it’s particularly useful for wedding photographers. Shutterstock – Now Available For iPhone
Shutterstock is a very elegant app allowing you to browse and organize literally millions of stunning stock shots from the world’s largest subscription-based image library. Previously this app was only available for iPad but this update brings iPhone capability. The iPhone version also lets you filter by color in multiple ways. This is a free app and update, of course. Camera Genius – Updated
Camera Genius is another popular app with iPhone photographers and it’s just been updated with a new sharing system allowing you to share multiple images and captions easily. 645 PRO – Updated
645 PRO has also been updated today, again from the same developer as recently mentioned 6×6 and 6×7, 645 PRO is also another very popular app with mobile photographers. Our Columnist and former Senior Photo Editor for Playboy magazine, Kevin Kuster confirms 645 PRO is one of his favorite photography apps, in our recent interview. 6×6 – Updated
As well as 6×7 that we’ve just mentioned, 6×6 by the same developer has also just been updated. We have inteviewed so many highly successful mobile iPhone photograhers who use this app to help them create their awesome images. One such photographer is Annie Mallégol from Paris. Another incredibly popular app with sucessful iPhone Photographers many of whom we have interviewed. 6×7 continues to be a mainstay to many, has just been updated. Viewfinder Pro, Viewfinder Basic, ALPA eFinder and Viewfinder Cine – Updated
Viewfinder is a simulator. It can show on your iPhone (or iPod touch or iPad) how a scene would look like using different camera / lens combinations. Motion picture folks call these kinds of devices a “director’s viewfinder” and you can see original “hardware” versions of them hanging around the neck of your favorite director (unless he or she uses Viewfinder, of course). ProCamera – Updated – Volume Trigger Is Back!
ProCamera has just been updated and the popular feature volume trigger is back, this feature was removed from the previous version to much discontent from the many iPhone photographers that adore this app. Well, now they can rejoice once again, as it’s back in this update, along with a few other minor improvements and optimizations.
