Mobile Photography & Art Flickr and Instagram Showcase – 10 January 2021

2021-01-10 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography & Art Flickr and Instagram Showcase – 10 January 2021

My key word for 2021 is ‘Optimism’. Sounds unlikely I know, but I am not deluded. If we don’t have optimism how can we get through the next day? It’s a blessing, not a tragedy, take it daily, in equal measures, once in the morning and before bedtime, with water. Be aware of the side effects, creativity, fantasia, elation and sheer bliss. We need to feel that everything is going to be ok, not only our own sake but more importantly for all who depend and rely on us. We need to be a sea of calm and serenity, taking and absorbing others anxiety and actually it’s a story worth…

This weeks Saturday Poetry, matched with mobile photography/art is entitled ‘All the Tired Horses in the Sun’ by Joy Harjo. This poem was commissioned for T.C. Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 6 January 2019

    2019-01-06 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 6 January 2019

There’s much humour to be had at my nightstand, not least in the morning when my husband duels with balancing fresh coffee on the piles of books and there’s a particular book, which I feel should be on every woman’s nightstand ‘Milk and Honey’ by Rupi Kaur. It’s a book of poetry, about healing and hope, discussing themes of love and loss, bringing about an enlightened self. Kaur ends the book with a tender love letter to her readers, thus reads “you have made it to the end. With my heart in your hands. Thank you. For arriving here safely. For being tender with the most delicate part of me.…

Mobile Photography & Art – Tickle Your Fancy #61

2018-12-08 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography & Art – Tickle Your Fancy #61

Welcome back to our sixty first post in our Tickle Your Fancy section. ‘Tickle Your Fancy’ includes a round-up of between seven to eight links to articles from around TheAppWhisperer over the past few week, that you may by chance have missed. Please note, I’ve been a little unwell this week, so have not published as much as I wanted to. Just to explain the title for this section Tickle Your Fancy is an English idiom and essentially means that something appeals to you and perhaps stimulates your imagination in an enthusiastic way, we felt it would make a great title for this new section of the site. Artists cited include,…

Mobile Photography – Portrait of an Artist – Twenty Eighth Video Showcase

2018-12-06 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography – Portrait of an Artist – Twenty Eighth Video Showcase

We are delighted to present our 28th Portrait of an Artist Video Showcase. Ile Mont our highly talented Editor for our Portrait of an Artist Column has curated the another astonishing showcase. Each image is related to the previous and the ensuing, the personal associations that underpin their selection remain mysterious. Entirely intentional, this is a bold and atypical showcase, wholly satisfying, signalling a shift away from poetic documentary and towards conceptualism. Enjoy! Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 8 July 2018

    2018-07-08 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 8 July 2018

This weeks Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase leads with “Looking at Her Old Love Letter Again’ by Milly M and thus focuses as an erotic love letter, not only to each artist but instinctively to the centrality of art and culture within each of our lives. With music entitled ‘Words’ by Fisher running through, this mutual collaboration is wholly satisfying. Each image feels extraordinarly direct and physical and knowing of the trajectory of our revered relationships, it seduces with unbridled sensuality. Like lovers, talking ourselves in and out of beds, light that post-coital cigarette and enjoy! Thank you to all artists for submitting your works. If you would…
