BlackBerry PlayBook Out On April 10, 2011
We are sure this isn’t a deliberate ploy to stamp on Apple’s glory today with the imminent arrival of the iPad 2 (yeah right), but BGR is reporting that the BlackBerry PlayBook will hit the stores on April 10, 2011. Not only that, they go on to mention that the OS will go GM (gold master) on March 31st and when you boot up the device right out of the box, you’ll be prompted to upgrade to a newer version of the OS. Exclusive BlackBerry PlayBook Video Stereoscopic Demo In 3D
Last week some BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet applications were being demoed by The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) at the Mobile World Congress 2011. Both the ‘Scrapbook’ app demo and BlackBerry® WebWorks™ videos were great demonstrations of the power the BlackBerry PlayBook platform has for providing a rich application experience . The video below shows a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet outputting stereoscopic 3D visuals, demonstrates many of the hardware features of the tablet: 1080P HD visual, micro HDMI output, and multi-touch support. It’s also really cool to look at, whether you’re wearing 3D glasses or not! It looks amazing, we can’t wait to check out the PlayBook, what do you think?
