NEM/The Hungry Ghost – ‘Void’ Competition – Reworked!
Last month we published details of the NEM and The Hungry Ghost Facebook group competition. This competition involved artists creating artwork that depicted the term ‘Void’. Sixteen artists’ works were selected and these then went to a public vote. Finally the top three were determined and their t-shirts auctioned off for charity. The charities were to be determined but recently it was annouced that Edyta Lipinska a most talented mobile photographer/artist was experiencing very difficult and expensive health issues. Twitter Adds Photo Filters To Android Mobile App – iOS Version To Follow
We knew Twitter would be launching an all out war shortly with Instagram and Facebook and this is just the start. So far only for the Android version of Twitter has updated to include photo filters. The iOS version is due to follow on shortly. Aviary are the powerhorses behind this update, very much as they were for Flickr earlier in the year. There are currently eight filters available for the Android version right now. You select a filter by comparing all your options in a convenient grid view or by swiping through each version. Facebook Paid $715 Million For Instagram
Facebook’s accountants have been busy and added up all the figures and stock and have confirmed that the final total purchase price of Instagram totals $715 million. According to thenextweb, ‘that figure was arrived at by adding the $300 million in cash that Facebook promised, and the price of 12 million vested shares of Class B common stock. This stock was given to “non-employee stockholders” – investors. Adding to the tally, Facebook has issued 11 million un-vested shares to Instagram’s employees, a pool that includes its founders. These shares will vest over a three year period. They have an “aggregate fair value of $194 million.” Adding the two together, Facebook’s final payment…
