Harjo was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 9, 1951, and is a member of the Mvskoke/Creek Nation. Harjo received a BA degree from the University of New Mexico before earning an MFA from the Iowa Writers Workshop in 1978. Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year – Deadline Approaching – Mobile Photography Category
The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition is one of my annual highlights and this year, I am on the advisory panel of judges as well as being a media partner. There are many categories to enter but of course, hands down, our favourite is the Mobile Photography section. It costs £6 to enter, per image and £2 of that will go to Action Against Hunger (registered charity). Mobile Photography – Huawei Announces Winners of £10,000 New Working Order
Huawei, the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer, today announced the winners of its New Working Order Bursary campaign – a £10,000 cash injection prize fund to help three young professionals within Generation Z take their passion projects to the next level. Lewis Hornby, Uma Dassaye and Sam Marchant have been named the overall winners of the competition, receiving a £10,000 cash prize each. The ‘New Working Order’ Bursary was launched in conjunction with research from Dr. Chris Brauer at Goldsmiths, University of London, which revealed that Generation Z are more likely to be motivated by job satisfaction and working for the social good than by money.
