Ingredients

Apple iPhone

Apps:

Snapseed

Mextures or Stackable’s

Instagram

Method

1. Using Snapseed select a photo that was taken with a mobile device. I used an iPhone 6 plus.

recipe

Make general adjustments such as brightening up shadows, toning down highlights, applying grunge effects, or using a High Dynamic Range effect. Explore all the tools, even preset ‘looks’ to however you like the effect best. Save the photo, or incremental variations. For more information or to download Snapseed.

2.  Open edited version of the image in Mextures or Stackable’s to edit further. Both these apps have built in textures that can be adjusted through lightness, saturation, highlights, shadows, etc…. look along the bottom for adjustments that can be made. You can save the formula you create in Mextures as well which is a history of the adjustments that were made. Save the image or iterations that you like best.

See featured article on Stackable’s

3. Open the image in Instagram where you can edit further. In th is final image, the Fade adjustment was used to soften the image and serve.
