Samsung announce Galaxy Note 10 series – First Overview
In the past the popular pen-equipped Note version of Samsung’s high end Galaxy S series of devices was only available in one size (think XL), however, with the introduction of the S10 Galaxy Note series, the electronics giant has unexpectedly offered two size options. The larger Galaxy Note 10+ has a 6.8 inch display – the largest of any Note to date, while the smaller of the two has a 6.2 inch screen and is more in line with larger version of the Galaxy S10 series. For those in range of a 5G transmitter two further models, one in each size, will be available with 5G compatibility.

Google adds Night Sight option to Pixel smartphones’ Camera app
Google’s Pixel smartphone Camera app is being updated with new functionality to allow the capture of clean images in light levels so low you can barely see, according to a post on the company’s AI Blog. The app is used in all of Google’s Pixel smartphones from the original model to the latest Pixel 3, so anyone with one can download the update and benefit from the new functionality. Lume Cube announces new AIR variant for mobile creators
A development of the original Lume Cube, the super-portable external LED light source for smartphone users, the Lume Cube Air is smaller lighter, version aimed at vloggers and other mobile creatives. The new Air features a single LED light source with a custom designed lens in front of parabolic-shaped light modifier. Rylo announces update to increase 360-degree Camera’s 4K output to 5.8K
Rylo, the former Instagram and Apple team members behind the diminutive action cam that uses two 180-degree cameras to output 360-degree clips, has released a software update for the device that increases the resolution from 4K to output at up to 5.8K. In addition to 360-degree video the handy-sized Rylo camera can capture 180-degree 4k video and 6K panoramic stills. Samsung Electronics Anounces High Resolution Sensors for SmartPhone Cameras
Samsung Electronics has launched two new high-resolution image sensors that are destined for multi-camera arrays in smartphones. The two “Isocell” sensors – a 48-megapixel and a 32-megapixel unit both feature small size 0.8 micron pixels and are crucially compact to fit the slim bodies demanded of smartphone makers. Called GM1 and GD1 respectively, the two new sensors feature Samsung’s Isocell Plus technology which adopts an innovative pixel structure that improves both light sensitivity and color fidelity, and what Samsung are calling Tetracell technology where the output from four pixels is combined into one (oversampled) for reduced noise.
