HTC One – The Print – Does ‘Megapixel’ Size Really Matter?
Well this is very impressive, I admit, I like the HTC One and have one sitting in our labs right now, I also recently attended a fabulous Press Event with HTC and Getty Images displaying impressive street football photographs from professional Getty photographers around the world taken with the said smartphone – see here. SpittingImages have actually put the HTC One and megapixels to the test, despite the meagre 4MP of the HTC One the lens quality, sharpness of the image and quantity of light captured are also significant points. Megapixel size is not everything, in this case and they did work it but SpittingImage have printed out some very…

New Olloclip Quick-Flip Case – First Look!
We’re delighted to have a new Olloclip Quick-Flip case in our possession and on our test model iPhone 5. The Olloclip 3-in-1 clip-on lens has long been a favorite of our team here at theappwhisperer.com. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a three in one macro, wide-angle and fish-eye lens system and is incrediblyportable and compact. We have published many tutorials using the Olloclip, if you’ve missed those, please go here. One thing that’s been frustrating though, is the need to remove any existing case from your device before using the Olloclip and as we’re constantly testing and reviewing iPhone cases here, it can become exasperating. This new Olloclip…

Apple Releases New Budget iPod Touch Without Rear Camera
Apple have very quietly dropped a brand new iPod Touch into the Apple Store. It’s a 16GB model and 4-inch Retina display and retails for $229/£199. This budget model does not have a rear camera that’s the biggest sacrifice at least to us. It does sport a dual-core Apple A5 processor and the same screen as the four-inch iPhone and iPod Touch. You can use it for FaceTime communication thanks to its front facing camera. It’s only available in silver currently and you can read more about it here. If you can afford a little more you can pick up the iSights iPod Touch with a 32GB hard drive and…

A Happy Accident? You Decide – iPad Cover
The colors that Apple provide for their magnetic smart iPad covers are quite decent to most of us, red, blue, green, black etc but Simeon an iOS app developer fancied a tanned leather look that he hoped as it aged would look better. So, he picked up the leather version but he discovered that actually, the more he used it, the less it aged in the way he wanted. So he took matters into his own hands and tanned his with his coffee. Not only that he has also written a tutorial about it. Take a look at this link.
