MIRA Mobile Prize 2014 – Book Available Of The Winning Images
After a hugely successful exhibition, of which I was very proud to have been included within the Jury, the organisers have created a book including an editorial about mobile photography authored by Manuela Matos Monterio and inclusive of the fifty shortlisted images as well as some images from the jury. This is a Blurb book and you can preview the first 15 pages here, or place an order, in the UK it retails for £31.57, in the US it’s available for $48.56.

MIRA 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition This Weekend!
This weekend is a truly fabulous one to bask in the glory of mobile photography and art. Not only is there the NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition, as mentioned here but also there’s the MIRA Mobile Photography Exhibition in Porto, Portugal, opening 6 September 2014 at 1600 hrs. Fifty artists have been shortlisted for this exhibition hosted by Manuela Matos Monteiro, with an illustrious Jury (including myself). MIRA Mobile Prize – Opening Exhibition 6 September 2014
The opening exhibition of the fabulous MIRA Mobile Prize is almost upon us – 6 September 2014, next week in Porto, Portugal at 1600 hrs. The overall winning of this competition is Janine Graf and her flying rhino image is pictured below. Over 10,000 postcards with this image have been printed. So, if you can, please book a flight to Porto and marvel at the 50 shortlisted images and works of the jury.

MIRA Mobile Prize – Overall Winner Announced!
We are delighted to announce the overall winner for the MIRA Mobile Prize is Janine Graf with her rhino image with blue balloons. This photograph was chosen from the shortlist of fifty that myself and other members of the Jury had selected. It reflects high evaluation; consistent work; and was also the preferred image of the curator and the representant of the municipality for the MIRA competition. Many many congratulations Janine. This is the final call for entries to the wonderful MIRA Mobile Photography Competition – the deadline for submission is 15 June 2014. This competition is free to enter and is juried by a highly respected and experienced international group of individuals (including myself)! Fifty images will constitute the short-list and these will be exhibited at the MIRA Forum – this will be launched on 6 September 2014. There’s a beautiful award for the winner – five nights in Porto, this includes accommodation and food and a return trip from any European capital.
