In iOS, this release includes a new selective brush, a new details tab, and an improved interface for iPads. As always, Lightroom for iOS is free to use and can be downloaded here. Adobe brings to life the 100-year old brushes of Edvard Munch and Competition
Adobe has today announced an innovative, first of its kind project, The Hidden Treasures of Creativity, which will digitally recreate the over 100-year old paint brushes of Edvard Munch to inspire a new generation of master painters. In collaboration with The Munch Museum in Oslo and award winning Photoshop brush maker Kyle T. Webster, Adobe has digitally replicated seven of Munch’s original brushes and made them available in Creative Cloud for Photoshop and Sketch users worldwide. With the support of the Munch Museum’s conservation experts, Munch’s original brushes were photographed in 360 degrees using ultra-high-resolution cameras, which captured all angles and details to create an accurate three dimensional representation. Adobe have announced update 2.1 to Lightroom for mobile today. This new version adds some great new features including: iPad Pro support and support for iOS 9’s multitasking capabilities Point Curve mode for the Tone Curve and the Split Tone adjustments tool Support for 3D touch and a new widget to launch the Adobe built-in camera from the iOS Notification Center New shoot-through presets in the Adobe built-in camera, and more. Adobe Lightroom for Android 1.4 Now Available and Free!
In October, Adobe released Lightroom 2.0 for iOS which made it possible to use Lightroom on iPhones and iPads without a paid subscription, and the response has been phenomenal apparently. Today Lightroom for Android version 1.4 has been announced. It adds the same free offering for Android users. The ability to use Lightroom for mobile without a paid subscription means that anyone can take advantage of the organizational, editing, and sharing abilities that Lightroom for mobile offers.
