As I crashed spectacularly to the ground from my mountain bike early this morning, I was reminded of a dear friend talking to me about resilience. Not that I need reminding, I have met with enough adversity in my life to know that this is a psychological trait buried deeply into my psyche. Mob-Entrepreneurs – Brendan O Se – Monogram Asia Photo Lecture Tour
We are extremely proud of smartphone photographer Brendan O Se’s recent presentation at the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand. O Se, presented also in Jakarta, Indonesia. His lecture allowed him to share with the audience some of his incredible images and also to express and encourage more artists to create smartphone photographic opportunities in this way, to develop their creativity and of course, their own style. We were also very pleased that he mentioned TheAppWhisperer as one of his main influences and development as a photographer – thank you Brendan. You can read more about his adventures here.
MIRA Mobile Prize 2016 ‘Connections’ Competition Results with Video Showcase
I am delighted to congratulate all the participants in this years MIRA Mobile Prize. I was fortunate to be a member of this Jury and I have been so impressed with all the entries. From six thousand images, to one overall winning image, with a further fifty finalist images to be Exhibited at MIRA FORUM, on 30 April 2016. It was no mean feat make this selection. All the images you see below will be exhibited in Porto, the home of the MIRA Mobile Prize. We’re delighted to reveal that the Mobile Photography Awards (MPA) 2015 First Place Winners and all Honorable mentions have now been announced. I am delighted to publish the Seoul Museum of Art Flickr Group Showcase that I presented within my lecture this week on Wednesday 23rd September 2015. I cannot express the impact it made on the audience, they were all thoroughly captivated and mesmerised by your art and the accompanying music.
