My key word for 2021 is ‘Optimism’. Sounds unlikely I know, but I am not deluded. If we don’t have optimism how can we get through the next day? It’s a blessing, not a tragedy, take it daily, in equal measures, once in the morning and before bedtime, with water. Be aware of the side effects, creativity, fantasia, elation and sheer bliss. We need to feel that everything is going to be ok, not only our own sake but more importantly for all who depend and rely on us. Artists’ falter more than many professions with this, perhaps not so much as comedians, both occupations involve risks but without taking them, we cannot grow. As photographers it can be difficult to know when not to take a photograph. Sometimes these moments are out of our control, perhaps based on ethical, moral or religious grounds. We are very excited today to announce the Special Awards of the Mobile Symphonies Exhibition. We have three categories and these include the Gold Record Award representing our Best in Show ~ this image gained the majority of votes from our esteemed jury. The second award is Best Pairing awarded to the image that most closely matches the chosen song, music or album. Mobile Art Auction to Help Meri Walker Rebuild Her Life After Home Razed in Oregon, United States
I am delighted to host the First Every Mobile Art Auction and on behalf of Award Winning Mobile Artist, Meri Walker who this week lost her entire home and content to fires in Oregon, United States. Currently there is a fabulous GoFundMe page organised by members of the mobile photography community which hopes to achieve $50,000.
