Tangent – iOS Photo App Now Available For iPad
Tangent has recently taken the Apple app store by storm, it has a great deal of many fully customizable styles and effects to transform your images in stunning ways. We recently published a great tutorial by MaryJane Sarvis to help you get started, if you missed that, please go here. Tangent has been updated today and is now available for iPad too. TouchRetouch – New For Mac
TouchRetouch is one of the most popular apps for iOS both for the iPhone and the iPad and now the developers, ADVA Soft have launched a Mac version. TouchRetouch is an excellent app for removing content out of photos as well as including useful tools for colour correcting, cloning, horizon straightening and cropping tasks. This app retails for $9.99/£6.99 and you can download it here.

Instagram Updated With Landscape Mode & More…
Instagram received a minor update yesterday, compared at least to the major update of the Video update recently. This update now adds the very much desired landscape mode and video stabilization feature when using the front facing camera. The landscape support allows for both photos and videos to be shot in landscape mode. The front facing camera stabilization is only available on the IOS version of Instagram at the moment, hopefully this will be coming soon to Android. Instagram Image Takes Front Page Of New York Times
Despite the actual photo shoot for this event taking place back in February 2012, this image of Alex Rodriguez taken by professional sports photographer Nick Laham in a locker room, graced Sunday’s (March 31, 2013) front page. It was taken with an iPhone and edited in Instagram. It’s an interesting tactic by the NYT’s, we’re not entirely sure why they have decided to publish these images now but we’re very grateful that they have as it continues to drive the momentum of mobile photography as a serious form of photojournalism.
