Explosion At Apple Supplier Plant
Reuters are reporting this morning that an Apple supplier plant, Pegatron Corp, suffered an explosion at the subsidiary’s plant in Shanghai this weekend. Sixty-one people are said to have been injured with twenty three needing hospital treatment. This latest incident of course, this throws the spotlight back onto safety concerns that have plagued factories in China. iOS 5.0.1 To Fix Battery Issues Released
Apple has released their latest update today to help fix the battery issues that have plagued the iPhone 4S since its launch. There’s also a security fix in this update for the iPad 2 issue whereby a Smart Cover or similar allowed limited access to a passcode locked device. This update is compatible with iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, the iPad and iPad 2 and 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touches.
