Pre-Orders For New iPad – ‘Off The Charts’
MacRumors are reporting that Apple told USA Today that demand for the new iPad has been ‘off the charts’ with the initial batch now sold out. "Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased," Apple said in a statement. "Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date." We reported last week how all the stores around the world that were accepting pre-orders had pushed their delivery dates back. We’ve just received confirmation that our shiny new third generation iPads are enroute, ie shipped. What this means is that they have left China and are on schedule for the previously agreed shipping date of March 16, 2012.
