Mobile Photography Intimate Interview with Dimpy Bhalotia from Bombay, India
Our one hundredth and sixth interview in this series of intimate interviews is with talented mobile photographer Dimpy Bhalotia from India. Bhalotia leads an interesting life, born and raised in Bombay, India, she later moved to London, UK to study at London College of Fashion, later graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design Technology, majoring in Women’s Wear. Sally Brampton (founding editor of Elle magazine, UK – who killed herself after health professionals ‘missed opportunities to offer her help’, in 2016) said in her memoir on depression: “We are simply defeated by the long, hard struggle to stay alive. When somebody dies after a long illness, people are apt to say, with a note of approval: ‘He fought so hard.’ And they are inclined to think, about a suicide, that no fight was involved, that somebody simply gave up. Our one hundredth and second interview in this series of intimate interviews is with talented mobile photographer Nayeem Siddiquee, @jabaznayeem on Instagram. Nayeem Siddiquee is known to everyone as “Nayeem Jabaz”. He was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh on 21 June 1995. He started street photography (as a serious hobby) in 2016. In a short time he has become part of the ‘New Wave’ of Bangladesh Street Photographers. He is the editor of the Street Photography Bangladesh magazine which contributes a vital role to the Bangladesh street photography community.
