MIRA Mobile Art Prize 2022 – Results
We are delighted to announce the Winner’s and the entire Shortlist of the 13th edition of the 2022 Annual MIRA Mobile Art Prize, created by Manuela Matos Monteiro and supported by TheAppWhisperer among others within the Mobile Art World. The award celebrates contemporary art within six specific categories, these include, Landscape, Portrait, Daily Life, Architecture, Minimal and Digital Art. The past few years we have all experienced so much hardship and loss that it makes this years MIRA Mobile Art Prize even more thrilling and meaningful. MIRA Mobile Prize Black & White 2019 Competition Now Open For Entries
We are delighted to announce the MIRA Mobile Prize Black & White Competition is now open for entries. This is a free to enter competition with three images per photographer being permitted. The Jury consists of four globally awarded and/or recognised with merit for their photography and specifially their mobile photography, artists. These include Brendan O Se, Armineh Hovanesian, Jacinto Lara and Claudia Conteras. The winner of this competition will enjoy a week in Porto, Portugal (from any European country) with accomodation. I am so excited to publish the results of the Black and White Street Photography MIRA Mobile Prize competition 2017. Manuela Matos Monteiro, the host invited mobile photographers throughout the world to capture the true character and essence of a street environment including people, traffic, gardens and public places. The deadline for the prestigious Mobile MIRA Prize competition has been extended to 10 March 2016. The organisers of the Mira Mobile Prize have extended the deadline for this fabulous competition to 5 March, 2016. This years theme is ‘Connections’, defined for this competition as ‘all kinds of connections: cultural, visual, emotional, symbolic’. It is so wonderful to see the images from the opening event of the MIRA Mobile Prize 2015, of which I was very proudly a Jury member. Many of you will be aware that I was invited to speak on stage at The Photography Show this year about mobile photography. This is the largest annual photography show in Europe and it was a privilege to be asked to talk.
