Mobile Photography – Moment Confirms Their Lenses ‘Tentatively’ Work with New iPhone 7
Moment openly admit that they were ‘more than a little bit worried’ that there lenses would not work with the new Apple iPhone 7. Following testing they have now confirmed that their lenses do, at least ‘tentatively’ work, which is great news as Apple have changed the sensor, lens and aperture combinations in the iPhone 7. Moment still have additional testing to do with their lenses and the iPhone 7 though, they need to validate image quality and work out how to modify their exisiting mounting plate design to work with the iPhone 7. Finest Moment for Moment – Now In the Apple Store with $3 million Funding
Mobile hardware lens and case manufacturer Moment have perhaps achieved their finest moment. They have just raised $3 million in a new round of funding and also have been granted a partnership with Apple to sell their kit in 50 Apple Stores across the United States as well as online on Apple’s website. The brains behind Moment is Marc Barros, previously heading up the action sports camera company Contour. The Mobile Photography Kit is what Barros is counting on bringing more success – it consists of a case, lens and lens cap and is selling on the Apple shelves for $179.95 as you read this. Mobile Camera Lens Manufacturer – Moment – Launches New Macro Lens
Moment are becoming a very popular lens manufacturer for mobile photography. Last year they released two mobile lenses, an 18 mm wide-angle and also a 70 mm telephoto. At the beginning of this year Moment started production of their new ‘Moment Case’ for the iPhone 6. It includes lens mount, shutter button and ‘smart’ camera strap and is available to order here.
