2020 Apple iPhone Night Mode Challenge – Open for Entries
Apple is starting the new year by celebrating more captivating ways to shoot on iPhone with an all-new Night mode photo challenge. Users are invited to share their impressive Night mode images captured with iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Beginning today through January 29, Apple is in search of the most stunning Night mode shots from users around the world. A panel of select judges will evaluate submissions to reveal five winning photos on March 4. The brand new Apple iPhone 11 Pro smartphone was used to film Selena Gomez’s latest music video for her new track ‘lose you to love me’. This is a simple video, stylised by the director, Sophie Muller. We have included a behind the scenes shoot of this video, where you will see the iPhone 11 Pro at work. Apple Shot on iPhone Challenge – The 2019 Winners – Announced
iPhone photographers around the world shared their best photos for Apple’s Shot on iPhone Challenge, capturing remarkable moments with the world’s most popular camera. The 10 selected winners will be featured on billboards in select cities, in Apple retail stores and online. The winning shots came from a range of models, from iPhone XS Max to iPhone 7, showcasing the quality of cameras across the line. The top 10 winners came from countries including Singapore, Germany, Belarus, Israel and the US, highlighting the global community of iPhone photographers that participated. Apple Agrees to Compensate Winners of ‘Shot on iPhone Competition’
Many of the Mobile Photographers within TheAppWhisperer community have not only submitted their images to Apple’s ‘Shot on iPhone Competition’ but have also won and their photographs have graced billboards around the world in earlier years. Apple has faced criticism though for not compensating winners, suggesting perhaps that they felt exposure should be enough. However, Apple have now backtracked and will compensate winners with licensing fees. A direct quote from Apple reads: “Apple believes strongly that artists should be compensated for their work. Photographers who shoot the final 10 winning photos will receive a licensing fee for use of such photos on billboards and other Apple marketing channels”. The contest…

Instagram TAKEOVER with Ocean Morisset @oceanstide – Days 4 – 7 – As He Leaves Us…
For the past week Ocean Morisset – @oceanstide has been publishing three of his images each day to our Instagram feed and it’s been winsome. I personally asked mobile street photographer, Morisset to take over our Instagram account for seven days because he’s distinguished himself through sheer range. Morisset’s photography is never staged and I would venture, each image is captured in an instant.
