Mobile Photography – StreetsAhead – Tribute to Arjan van der Horst Challenge Results
This challenge showcase was devoted to our Arjan van der Horst who we tragically lost not so long ago. The challenge was to use the Arjan film (created by the Hipstamatic team in honour of Arjan) to capture images in the way we knew he would from the wonderful images he left us to remember him by. The four images I have selected I feel best capture the spirit and style of our dear friend. Streets Ahead Interview: Susan Rennie – Mobile Street Photography
This week, the Women’s Street Photography Collective (Streets Ahead) is pleased and honoured to feature Susan Rennie in our interview segment. Susan began taking photographs in the late 60s and studied with Lisette Model. After a long career as an academic and women’s health activist, she retired in 2005 and became serious about mobile photography three years ago. This week, the Women’s Street Photography Collective (Streets Ahead) is pleased and honoured to feature Armineh Hovanesian in our interview segment. Born in Paris and raised in Tehran and Boston, Hovanesian is now based in Los Angeles. She has had no professional training and photography is currently a hobby for her. This week, the Women’s Street Photography Collective (Streets Ahead) is pleased and honoured to feature Angelique Peres Marchand in our interview segment. Manchanda-Peres grew up in Mumbai, India. She has always been interested in people, travel and geography and indirectly studied immunogenetics and neurochemistry at University.
