Streets Ahead
Streets Ahead is a Column and subsection of TheAppWhisperer.com (one of the largest and most popular mobile photography websites in the world). It is a Column dedicated to sharing and highlighting some of the amazing work done by talented women in this community… as well as exploring the unique and fresh perspective that they bring to this genre. It is brought to you by Cara Gallardo Weil and Gina Costa both with natural flair and talent for mobile street photography. They believe that street photography is ready to move in a new direction and hope you will embark on this journey with them too to explore and debate the aesthetics, techniques, and perspectives that women bring to this new movement.

Streets Ahead Interview: Cecily Mariece Caceu – Mobile Street Photography
This week, the Women’s Street Photography Collective (Streets Ahead) is pleased and honoured to feature Cecily Mariece Caceu in our interview segment. Cecily’s was one of the artists whose work was included in the book The Art of iPhone Photography (authors, Bob Weil and Nicki Fitz-Gerald). She was one of the winners of the Mobile Masters Proof Competition (2014) and was included in their e-book. She received Honourable Mentions in the IPPA awards (2013 and 2014) and the MPA awards (2012 and 2013). Streets Ahead – Challenge 8 – Selfies On The Street – Deadline – 30th November 2014
Time for a new challenge. This challenge is different to our previous seflie challenge (which was in the style of Vivian Maier). This time, we would like you to capture people taking selfies of themselves on the street – ‘social media models’.
