An Intimate Exhibition Features 10 Artists during Art Basel Miami through January 31 2014
It’s fitting that the Lord Balfour hotel in South Beach host an art exhibit entitled ‘WORD’ from December 1 – January 31. Why? Well, step into the hotel and you will immediately see a key design detail – an almost origami like scroll on the ceiling that includes several famous quotes from Lord Balfour and Winston Churchill. Balfour coined a few phrases that linger today: “Make it short and sweet“ is etched into mirrors in the loos. A book of letters was published in 1992 between Balfour and Lady Elcho – who were said to be “greater than friends and less than lovers” scandalous for the time and titles. So hosting an exhibition…

It’s an online iOS magazine for iPhone and iPad that showcases artwork of various finger painters from around the world. Four issues have been published so far and a fifth seemingly was intended to be published in June 2013 but I cannot see it. The latest issue ‘Bunny and The Beardman’ features John Bavaro discussing a collaboration for a museum that turned into ‘something unprecedented’. Other issues include work by Paul Vera Broadbent, Fabric Lenny, Matthew Watkins, Nettie Edwards and many more. Take a…

The Ten Greatest Rumours About Tomorrow’s Apple Event
Mashable have trawled the internet and brought together a collection of the ten greatest rumours expected to come from the Apple Event tomorrow. The main rumours centre around the launch of two new iPads, the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. I confess I love my iPad Mini and only wish it had a Retina display, it looks like that might be being announced tomorrow or maybe not.. I also adore my iPad but if it would run faster I’d love it even more and if Apple put the super fast iPhone 5S A7 chip into the newer model, that would be perfect, we’ll see… Improved camera? Oh yes, always!…

Competition – Photo Ambassador for 2014 – Mobile!
Following a survey commissioned by Celebrity Cruises* that a staggering 67% of people now take pictures on their mobile on holiday, the leading luxury cruise company has launched a search – alongside worldwide known and award-winning photographers – for the best travel photo ever taken on a smartphone. Surprisingly, Samsung is the leader in the mobile camera market with a 24% share of the overall market – 4% of those questioned were more likely to use the brand over an iPhone. Despite the much-hyped recent launch of the Lumia 925, Nokia and HTC proved the least popular at 6% each. The dominance of Facebook and Twitter seems to be a…
