Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2017 From Around The World
When we think of a new year, we sometimes think of a fresh start and with that, our minds start racing with ways to improve on what we did last year. Sometimes, New Year Resolutions are ambitious, sometimes less so but all are supposed to hold the promise of commitment for the entire year. This can be difficult to achieve and it can be hard to keep up the enthusiasm but not impossible. It’s important to not only enjoy big goals but also to enjoy the little things, looking at the stars at night, walking barefoot in the grass… essentially bring more peace to our lives. In many ways, following…

Grand Flickr Group Showcase of 2016 – TheAppWhisperer – Mobile Photography and Art
I had intended to publish our 2016 Grand Flickr Group Showcase of Mobile Photography and Art on Christmas Day this year. I had prepared most of it ahead of time and was relatively well organised to go live on 25 December. However, events took a turn for the worse and as I awoke after a thoroughly turbulent night on the morning of 24 December, I picked up my phone and saw a Facebook message coming through from a friend expressing how sorry she was for the loss of Carolyn Hall Young a few hours before. For a few moments, I thought I was still in the midst of the wretched…

Camera+ iOS Photography App – Updated with RAW and More!
Camera+ has been updated today with extensive support for the dual lenses of the iPhone 7 Plus. “You’re now able to explicitly choose to shoot with the wide angle or telephoto lens so you can get exactly the lens you desire for the given shooting situation. If you prefer the simplicity of not having to think about those sorts of things like lens pickin’, you can just keep the lens switcher set to Duo mode and let your iPhone 7 Plus do its magic”, explain the developers, taptaptap, of this hugely popular (over 10 million sold) app. Interestingly, they say, “one thing worth knowing along these lines is that in…

Mostly Mobile Photography & Mobile Art – Tickle Your Fancy #50
Welcome back to our fiftieth post in our ‘Tickle Your Fancy’ section. ‘Tickle Your Fancy’ includes a round-up of between three to five links to articles from around the internet that have specifically interested us during the course of the week. Ones that we feel are relevant to your interest in photography and art. Just to explain the title for this section ‘Tickle Your Fancy’ is an English idiom and essentially means that something appeals to you and perhaps stimulates your imagination in an enthusiastic way, we felt it would make a great title for this new section of the site. We really hope you enjoy these articles over the…

Mobile Photography & Art – The Courage to be Afraid – Showcase for Carolyn Hall Young
Recently, I set up a Facebook group entitled – The Courage to be Afraid – A Tender Tribute to Human Valiance with Carolyn Hall Young. Hall Young is our dear friend and hugely talented artist and many of you are aware that she is currently experiencing particularly challenging health issues. This group was made with love and is full of love from all the artists who have joined this group to create and share their images for her. I have complied each image into a film showcase, so that she can view all of them in one sitting (hopefully). When she is feeling more well, I am sure she will…

Mobile Art – Appstracts – App for Carolyn Hall Young
Recently, the mobile art Facebook group, Appstracts, administrated by Roger Guetta and Grant Basma Horsnell asked of the group to create a mobile art image for dear Carolyn Hall Young, who is currently very unwell. I have gathered all the images together to make one video showcase to share with you all. (Please do note, that I have gone through the group several times, searching for all the images for this particular showcase and I believe I have included everyone, if not, please just let me know and I will add you). Many congratulations to the following artists and thank you all so much for creating these images for Carolyn:…
