Mobile Photography – StreetsAhead – Tribute to Arjan van der Horst Challenge Results
This challenge showcase was devoted to our Arjan van der Horst who we tragically lost not so long ago. The challenge was to use the Arjan film (created by the Hipstamatic team in honour of Arjan) to capture images in the way we knew he would from the wonderful images he left us to remember him by. The four images I have selected I feel best capture the spirit and style of our dear friend. With many congratulations and huge thanks to Paula Betlem, FrauLN, Karen Axelrad, Christine Mignon, Gillian Brodie, Giulia Baita, Armineh Hovanesian, Montse Abad, Patricia Januszkiewicz, Ile Mont, Lee Atwell, Heather McAlister, Gina Costa, Marsha Leith, Lila Lile, Cara Gallardo…

Showering of Love – Appstracts Mobile Art Group with Roger Guetta
Recently the Mobile Art Facebook Group Appstracts hosted on Facebook and run by one of our very own Columnists Roger Guetta, hosted a very touching mobile art challenge. The Challenge was for all the artists within this group to show their love for me by creating a unique image. The results are true testament to the tenderness and ability of our community of mobile artists and photographers and also the love story that we all share. The meticulous detail and thought that each and every mobile artist has put into this challenge sweeps me away. Your love beseeches me to revere your mobile art that awakens, sustains and nourishes all…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 6 March 2016
“If you are making art”, says a character in a novel by Peter Carey that I am reading, “the labour never ends, no peace, no Sabbath, just eternal churning and cursing and worrying and fretting”. This weeks mobile photography and art flickr group showcase is somewhat on a par with the above quote and also, at least for me, with the art of making love. There’s grand passion, enchantment, trust, divinity and persistence. As this stunning art, appears on your screen, make space in your heart and mind to feel the power of the incredible creativity. This is after all, a real love story. Enjoy! If you would like your…

My hope is that this challenge was a way to seek the beauty sequestered in the darkened skies and brisk temperatures. So, get yourself a cup…
