The characters within and behind them slip out of their frames, enticing us to imagine the stories of their lives. It is rare and exciting to find such urgent visual imagery, full of persuasive language and strategies. Described in the press as ‘the saddest week in showbiz’ following the tragic deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman and more… this showcase has a melancholy feel. Sadness has its place, despair is universal.
