‘Brought to Light’ – Mobile Photography / Art Interview with Sean Hayes
Sean Hayes is something of a cultural artist crossing geographic boundaries, one who transforms cultural landscapes. His art is an experience, his portraiture and street work allows for a direct and intimate interaction with the viewer. The meticulous staging of light within his images fills the air with an awareness of living. Hayes’ landscape photography owes its eloquence to its matter-of-fact nature. Everything is observed, Hayes’ images carry the romantic undertow of both myth and mystery. Hayes achieves an engaging style with his art, he not only manages to cross physical borders between countries but I feel, he has a sense of the emotional boundaries between people, his portraiture demonstrates…

Flickr Group Showcase – TheAppWhisperer (TAW) – June 1, 2014
We are utterly delighted to publish this weeks’ Flickr Group Showcase, so many of you have been completely inspired! Your work is exceptional, eminent and phenomenal. We lead this week with a wonderful image by lorenka61 – this image really struck a chord with me. It reminded me of Mya Angelou’s first book ‘I know why the caged bird sings’ and of course, unfortunately she passed on this week, so I thought this would make a wonderful lead image. We then pass onto a similar and excellent one by Roger Guetta and then move into some incredibly powerful portraiture, we walk into street and then wade into some wonderful seascapes…

Artists Corner – BiiAM Exhibtion – The Process
Sean Hayes one of our wonderful contributors recently created the BiiAM Exhibition to iPhone photography in Belgium. It was an outstanding success and we asked Sean if he could tell us more about ‘the making of’ the Exhibition. Sean went further than that, he created a short video, that we have published below. It offers a great insight into the process of hosting an exhibition and is a great learning experience. Sean also wanted us to mention Thérèse Cherton and Robert Buckley as fellow organisers of this exhibition and their contribution and commitment was outstanding. Take a look below and let us know what you think in the comments below.…

BiiAM Belgitude iPhoneography Exhibition – Call For Entries
Sean Hayes one of our wonderfully talented and creative contributors and tremendous iPhone photographer is organising, in collaboration with fellow shooters Thérèse Cherton and Robert Buckley, the ‘BiiAM Belgitude iPhoneography Exhibition’. This exhibition is calling for artists to submit images celebrating eccentricities and icons of Belgium, (chocolate springs to mind, although I have to admit, it’s never too far away). Submissions are due no later than July 30, 2012. All formats are considered, this does not just mean portrait, landscape, 6×6 etc but also mobile platform format. The title for this exhibition is a little misleading but i if you use an Android or other smartphone device you are very welcome…
