Olivia Rodrigo Partners With Apple For Custom AR Face Masks Used in New ‘Brutal’ Music Video
Pop star and actress Olivia Rodrigo recently released the music video for her song “brutal,” off of her debut album “SOUR“. For the video, Rodrigo partnered up with Apple to create a suite of augmented reality face masks using an iPad Pro as well as the Apple Pencil. Rodrigo also shared a few clips to TikTok and Instagram showing her editing the face masks. In addition to the “Made with iPad” branding in the clip, Apple also promoted the new music video in the Browse tab on Apple Music. App Revenue Grows to 15% Globally $39 Billion in H1 2019
Despite what you may have read from other sources, consumers spent an estimated $25.5 billion globally in the Apple App Store in the first half of 2019. Google Play’s estimated gross revenue exceeds that to $14.2 billion for the same period. Interestingly, Tinder was the highest grossing non-game app in this period. It generated an estimated $497 million in revenue across both the Apple App Store and Google Play. This is up 32% over the same period of 2018.
