NEM/The Hungry Ghost – ‘Void’ Competition
NEM and The Hungry Ghost Facebook group are running a new competition. They have invited artists to create artwork that depicts the term ‘Void’. Sixteen artists’ works have now been selected and they are now involved in a vote with the public. After one week the top three will be determined and each with have a t-shirt printed of their image as a prize, in addition these three will also have T-shirts produced and auctioned off for charity. We have set up a new section on TAW today, entitled ‘Mob-Entrepreneurs’ – this is special area where we can highlight all of the many fabulous ventures that mobile photographers and artists are involved in. Whether that includes mobile photography courses they’re running, or t-shirts they’re printing or even exhibitions they are hosting, you will find it all here. Tinhte.vn a Vietnamese site that has been reliable in the past with Apple iPhone rumors has mentioned that the new iPhone 5S will come with a 12 megapixel sensor, better low light shooting capabilities as well has HDR shooting and ‘other features’. iPhone 5 Pre-Orders To Start On September 12, 2012
MacRumors are reporting that iMore are correct in their assumptions that preorders in the US for the brand spanking new iPhone 5 will commence on September 12, 2012, the same date that the magical device is also rumored to be announced. The actual release of the new handsets is apparently planned for September 21, 2012 in the US. International orders will apparently begin around October 5, 2012. Obviously none of these dates have been confirmed, Apple has not even confirmed they will be announcing the new iPhone 5 or iPhone as it may be called, yet either. Nikon Coolpix S800 To Have Android Inside
According to Nikonrumors this morning, Nikon will soon announce a new Android based compact camera. The model name will be the Coolpix S800. Nikon is expected to make this announcement at Photokina later on this year. We knew it was only a matter of time until this happened, afterall the compact camera market has suffered hugely with the popularity of the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S II and III to name just a few.
