KickStarter – Daguerreotype & Ambrotype Inspired Mirror & Glass iPrints – iPhoneArt.com
Our friends and colleagues at iPhoneArt.com have launched a KickStarter campaign in order to raise enough money to create high end print products. They have been developing new printing techniques for digital art and photography for several years. Their focus on mobile arts has enabled them to design two new products that will be accessible to all. They have a target of $30,000 and have some way to go, they’re currently on $3,037 with 27 days to go and as with most Kickstarter projects, it will not be funded if the target is not reached. You can find out more here. Supporting Video

HiLO Lens for iPhone & iPad – New Kickstarter Project
The developer of this new lens for iPhone and iPad contacted us last week about it, before Kickstarter had even approved the campagin. They wanted us to the be the first to let our readers konw about this new opportunity for iOS photography. We have included a video below demonstrating this product. Although we have not looked at the prototype yet we can tell you that it has been made with three lenses and one prism. The developers have also created an app, which will be available for free and will correct the mirroring of the image, due to the prism and also improve image quality with ‘smart processing’. The…

Stabil-i: Premium Video Stabilization iPhone Case
Dynamo Innovations Group, Inc. today announces Stabil-i, its revolutionary new accessory for smartphones. Stabil-i makes short work of shakiness and stows neatly in your pocket. By safely counterbalancing the phone onto a single, microscopic point, Stabil-i drastically reduces vibration commonly seen in home movies and concert bootlegs. Mix equal parts precision balancing, ingenuity, and gravity to reveal exciting possibilities in independent film making. You can read more about the iPhone 5 Kickstarter project, right here. Stabilizing software is gimmicky, expensive, takes forever, and can crop or skew an image leaving wobbly distortion in all four corners. Professionals spend big money on counterbalancing hefty cameras. A revolutionary accessory for smartphones,…

Kickstarter – 3DCone: make 3D Stills & Videos with your iPhone
Here’s another new Kickstarter project, this one consists of a 3DCone as a stereoscopic add-on for the iPhone 4 to help create 3D images and videos. It’s just a snap on device. The developers have or are creating an app as well to deal with the additional processing once you’ve captured your image/video. It’s an interesting concept. Currently there are 33 days to go and they have raised $1,924 of a pledged $55,000 goal. It will be interesting to see how this one develops, pardon the pun. Take a look at the video and images below. Go here to view the project.

TAKTIK: Premium Protection System for the iPhone
This is a Kickstarter project that is now guaranteed to be funded, with 21 days still to go and $334,534 pledged of a $150,000 this is a sure fire winner. Let me tell you a little more about it. Using protection isn’t always pretty. That’s why these manufactures have decided to inject their LUNATIK design DNA into protective cases. This is the DNA that fathered the TikTok+LunaTik and the LUNATIK Touch Pen. By obsessing over all the details that others neglect like fit, finish, details, feel, display integrity, robustness and aesthetics, Scott Wilson and his design studio MINIMAL are raising the bar again. From the high sensitivity display protection of…

Pocket Lighting Studio For Your iPhone
Another interesting project on Kickstarter has caught our attention, known as The Kick. With the Kick and the Kick App you can also sample light effects from any video stored on your iPhone. Or simply sample light straight from the iPhone camera, while you use it. Just point the iPhone towards the light effect you want the Kick to recreate, tap the screen – and the Kick will emit that light! It’s automatically stored in the effects library for use later on. At it’s most basic the Kick can emit straight white light, when you just need a little extra light. Then it allows you to adjust the color temperature…

New – Smartphone Tripod Adaptor
Here’s an interesting product that just arrived on Kickstarter, it’s a universal smartphone tripod adaptor, known as the ANYCASE. "The ANYCASE tripod adapter allows you to capture life’s most important experiences in a professional way that will bring lasting memories, without shaky hand-held results. There are other tripod adapters out there for smart phones, but most of them are flimsy plastic or don’t allow you to use your phone with a case on it", says the developer. The ANYCASE adapter fits phones with (or without) cases up to 17mm (.66") thick. The adapter is 114mm (4.5") wide. Designed for any generation iPhone, we’ve also used it with many other brands…

Turn Your iPhone 4 Into A Camera – Literally – With A UN01
We can’t wait to try out the UN01 here at TheAppWhisperer.com. It is a simple but a fantastic idea of course. The UN01 consists of a functional cover designed to bring to life the iPhone 4 as a camera. The 2.5mm thick (or 1/10 of an inch thick) ABS & PC plastic shell offers durability and protection and will have a high reflective polish finish. A raised camera lens bezel design conceals the locking mechanism that keeps the cover secure, and the neck straps place the camera at a convenient location for instant access. For the enthusiasts seeking that distinctive design, a Kickstarter Special Edition featuring a laser etched surface…
