Streets Ahead – Challenge: Layering – Deadline Today
Just a reminder that today is the deadline to enter our Streets Ahead Challenge on Layering. This is basically the use of reflections – in a building’s glass, a puddle or another shiny object in relation to street photography. Streets Ahead – Challenge 1 – Showcase
Welcome to the showcase for our first challenge, ‘Crouching’ (photographing street scenes/life from a crouching position). We hope that this will be the first of many challenges that will be run in the Streets Ahead group. This week, the Women’s Mobile Street Photography Collective (Streets Ahead) is pleased and honored to feature Allie Astell in our interview section. I first noticed Allie’s work when she was featured in the ‘Adventures in Hipstaland’ series from the Hipstamatic team. She did one set of photographs of Dahab and the other of Morocco and I thought that she had a fantastic eye. I have been following her work ever since.
