iPhone 5 Review For Photographers
Take Better Photos have published this very interesting look at the iPhone 5 from a photographer’s point of view. We were alerted to this post by our linked site, dpreview.com. It offers a very interesting comparison between the iPhone 4S and cameras too, including the Nikon D3, Canon A2200 compact and Panasonic LX 5. It’s a great read and you can find it here.

Pixelmator 2.1 Cherry Review
Pixelmator 2.1.1 Cherry Review – Mac App Store Available exclusively through the Mac App Store Pixelmator 2.0 is a graphics and image editor for Mac OSX and has a number of attractive features, including an impressive array of retouching and paint tools, and sleek interface. Packing a raft of effects filters, paint and retouching tools it is a well-specified utility. That said, it’s not a full blown application to rival Photoshop and lacks some fundamentals such as layer styles and adjustment layers (effects filters largely take care of the latter) but there’s a huge demand for a user-friendly yet nimble application that can cope with a number of day-to-day…

These are the photo ones but this list will continue to grow. Fast Camera Group photos, self-portraits, capturing live action, and even time-lapses…

Jony Ive To Design New Leica M Camera
Well, we are not surprised by this news but definitely excited. We’ve known for many years how Apple feels about Leica cameras and so it was no surprise to learn at Leica’s special event last night at Photokina (where theappwhisperer is right now) that Dr Andreas Kaufmann from Leica announced they’ve got a very special limited edition version of the Leica M planned, one that will be designed by Jony Ive – Senior Vice President, Industrial Design at Apple. The downside is that when they say ‘limited’ they really do mean limited. In fact only one camera will be produced and will likely be auctioned off for charity. However, this…

iPhone 5 Pre-Orders Top Two Million in First 24 Hours
Apple today announced pre-orders of its iPhone 5 topped two million in just 24 hours, more than double the previous record of one million held by iPhone 4S. iPhone 5 Ships With 1 GB RAM
MacRumors are reporting that Apple’s brand spanking new iPhone 5 is packed with 1 GB RAM. We know the iPhone 5 is packed with an awesome A6 processor and we’ve been anticipating a RAM increase for some time. Both the iPhone 4 and 4S run with 513 MB RAM but 1 GB will speed up performance with applications and documents and omit a whole lot of lagging and gives app developers a lot more memory to work with.
