Nico Brons – Graduates With A Masters Degree In iPhone Art
Nico Brons is a very well known and accomplished mobile photographer and in December 2013 he graduated with a Masters Degree of photography with iPhone Art. He graduated from the Photo Academy, the largest and most ambitious establishment to study Photography in the Netherlands. This graduation project was undertaken solely with the iPhone. Brons created a book with iPhone art and poetry. He contacted a Arjen van der Linden, a poet from Amersfoort to make poetry with his images, it was a fabulous collaboration. The books consists of 60 pages, 25 images and 25 poems and some introductory text. Further on there is music to accompany the images and poetry.…
MIRA Mobile Prize – Mobile Photography Competition – Final Call
This is the final call for entries to the wonderful MIRA Mobile Photography Competition – the deadline for submission is 15 June 2014. This competition is free to enter and is juried by a highly respected and experienced international group of individuals (including myself)! Fifty images will constitute the short-list and these will be exhibited at the MIRA Forum – this will be launched on 6 September 2014. There’s a beautiful award for the winner – five nights in Porto, this includes accommodation and food and a return trip from any European capital.

The Lumen Prize Exhibition – Call For Entries
The Lumen Prize Exhibition, an international prize and global tour for digital fine art, has opened the call for entries for its 2014 prize. The 25 exhibition works, which will be selected by an eminent jury panel of art experts including Bruce Wands, the Founding Chair of BFA Computer Art Department at the School of Visual Arts, New York City and Doug Dodds, Senior Curator at the V&A, will travel to Cardiff, London, New York City, Athens and Amsterdam. After two successful editions, the Unseen Dummy Award is back! The Eye International Photography Festival Returns For A Second Year
Following on from the hugely successful inaugural event in 2012 details have been announced for the second EYE International Photography Festival which will run from 27 – 29 June 2014. The 2014 festival sees another high quality line-up of guest artists, including one of the world’s leading documentary photographers, Ian Berry, who was invited to join Magnum by Henri Cartier Bresson.
