7% Of All Americans Have Made A Mobile Video Call

2010-10-14 / Comments Off on 7% Of All Americans Have Made A Mobile Video Call

A new study conducted by Pew Research reveals that despite being a relatively new concept, seven percent of all Americans have made a video call on a mobile phone. With Apple pushing FaceTime as a key selling point to the iPhone 4 and the study actually conduced between mid August and mid September 2010, the iPhone 4 must be a major influence in all this. Sprint has been the only other major contributor to mobile video chat in the modern era and supports it only on its WiMAX phones, the HTC Evo 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. The increase in popularity of Wi-Fi phones has increased the popularity of video…

Apple – iOS 4.2 beta 2 and iTunes 10.1 beta

2010-09-29 / Comments Off on Apple – iOS 4.2 beta 2 and iTunes 10.1 beta

If you’re an iOS developer then head over to the Developer Center and download Apple’s latest iOS 4.2 beta and iTunes 10.1 beta to start testing with. This version is apparently less buggy and hopefully once this is approved, will officially be released it in November 2010. This beta is for the iPhone, iPod Touch – albeit not the first generation and the iPad. The release comes roughly in line with Apple’s typical timeframe of releasing betas every two weeks, as the first beta arrived September 15.

The Differences Between The Old And New iPod Touch

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on The Differences Between The Old And New iPod Touch

FaceTime Video calling is in full effect on iPod touch. Now your friends can see what you’re up to, when you’re up to it. With the tap of a button, you can wave "hi" while standing in a foreign country, get a second opinion on a pair of boots, or have your friends bear witness to the everyday pranks, bets, and dares they otherwise might have missed — new iPod touch to new iPod touch or iPhone 4 over Wi-Fi. And come face to face with even more fun. Take “LOL” to the next level and actually see friends laughing. Or bring “XOXO” to life when you blow someone a…
