‘Brought to Light’ – Mobile Photography / Art Interview with Clint Cline from Florida, USA

      2017-07-10 / 1 Comment

Our ‘Brought to Light‘ interview section explores the mobile photographers and mobile artists behind their art. Each question has been carefully crafted and is designed to allow us to get to know them a little more intimately. To view others that we have published in this series, please go here. Today, we are featuring Clint Cline from Florida, United States.  Cline employs a technique within his painting that embodies religion, storytelling and abstract art. His paintings are powerful, mysterious amalgams of landscapes and unique craggy forms that elicit abstract shapes, symmetrically balancing powerful colour tones. Viewed in epic proportions, Cline’s work evokes an awesome grandness of nature. The imagery employed…

Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2017 From Around The World

      2017-01-04 / 2 Comments

When we think of a new year, we sometimes think of a fresh start and with that, our minds start racing with ways to improve on what we did last year. Sometimes, New Year Resolutions are ambitious, sometimes less so but all are supposed to hold the promise of commitment for the entire year. This can be difficult to achieve and it can be hard to keep up the enthusiasm but not impossible. It’s important to not only enjoy big goals but also to enjoy the little things, looking at the stars at night, walking barefoot in the grass… essentially bring more peace to our lives. In many ways, following…

Mobile Photography & Art – The Courage to be Afraid – Showcase for Carolyn Hall Young

      2016-07-11 / 4 Comments

Recently, I set up a Facebook group entitled – The Courage to be Afraid – A Tender Tribute to Human Valiance with Carolyn Hall Young. Hall Young is our dear friend and hugely talented artist and many of you are aware that she is currently experiencing particularly challenging health issues. This group was made with love and is full of love from all the artists who have joined this group to create and share their images for her. I have complied each image into a film showcase, so that she can view all of them in one sitting (hopefully). When she is feeling more well, I am sure she will…

2015-05-22 / Comments Off on Mobile Photography – New Digital Magazine – iPhotographer

“Just as nothing like Rolling Stone existed for music fans when we started that publication, nothing like iPhotographer Magazine currently exists for iPhotography fans,” says Baron Wolman, first chief photographer of Rolling Stone Magazine. Fifty years after beginning his career as a photographer and a publisher, Wolman has joined forces with Editor Knox Bronson of Pixels At An Exhibition, to assemble a stellar crew of writers, editors, curators, artists, and photographers to produce the first ever original, informative, digital bi-monthly publication for iOS, iPhotographer Magazine. “Our intent with iPhotographer is to focus on the vibrant and exciting world of mobile photography in a beautiful, fully-interactive, multi-media publication for both the…

iPhotographer Magazine – What’s It All About?

      2013-08-16 / 3 Comments

A brand new iOS mobile photography magazine has landed in the Apple Newsstand (there’s been a few recently) and is ready for download. We were lucky enough to be sent a Press Release from the Editor-In-Chief, Knox Bronson more widely known for the popular mobile art website – P1xels—The Art of the iPhone. Coming from the print industry as Editor of many photography titles, with years of experience of both National and International publications, of course this was of particular interest to me. I viewed the Preview issue of this monthly title. The preview issue is a sample and smaller version of the regular monthly issue and it includes content…

Read this great interview below and prepare to be inspired…   Knox Bronson © Knox Bronson   KB – Knox Bronson AP – Andrew Proudlove Knox was instrumental in helping to develop the iPhone as a serious photography and art platform at the beginning of the iPhoneography movement, being the first person…

Olloclip Tutorial – How To Create An Incredible Macro Still Life Image Using An Olloclip

      2012-08-01 / 7 Comments

The Olloclip lens system consists of three lenses. A wide-angle, fish-eye and a macro lens. The macro lens magnifies your image roughly around ten times. It allows you to get close to focus on your subjects with your iPhone, usually within 12 to 15 mm of your subject. With the Olloclip macro lens I had to learn how close to get to my subject in practice and when to back up. Initially, I tended to get in very close to my subject and then have to back up to get some kind of focus.  It does help to have your iPhone on some kind of tripod/support to keep your hand…
