NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition This Weekend!
We’re so pleased to announce the NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition Opening Reception this weekend September 5, 2014 and continues through to September 30, 2014. Forty artists have been shortlisted for this exhibition hosted by Andrea Bigiarini with illustrious jury members Gina Costa (TheAppWhisperer Columnnist) and Brett Chenoweth. NEM is a museum without walls committed to the humanistic initiative of the mobile arts. The New Era Museum’s goal is to spread the concept that the making of a popular art form as a worldwide artistic movement is available to everyone with a mobile device. Yes!!! We have just published our latest Flickr Group Showcase and it’s absolutely breathtaking, filled will wonderful mobile photography and art images from all around the world. Our regular readers will know that the site has been a little quiet for the past week or so. I have recently been through a major surgical operation and I’m certainly not up to full speed yet but I am healing and I am getting stronger. MIRA Mobile Prize – Overall Winner Announced!
We are delighted to announce the overall winner for the MIRA Mobile Prize is Janine Graf with her rhino image with blue balloons. This photograph was chosen from the shortlist of fifty that myself and other members of the Jury had selected. It reflects high evaluation; consistent work; and was also the preferred image of the curator and the representant of the municipality for the MIRA competition. Many many congratulations Janine.
