Welcome to our seventh Portrait of an Artist Showcase! This Showcase complements our Portrait of an Artist Column edited by Jennifer Bracewell. Every two weeks Jennifer will review and curate work that has been submitted to our dedicated Flickr group. In addition, to creating a showcase video which features a sampling of submitted work, we will also highlight a few images that have caught our attention… offering some thoughtful commentary about technique, composition and subject matter. NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition This Weekend!
We’re so pleased to announce the NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition Opening Reception this weekend September 5, 2014 and continues through to September 30, 2014. Forty artists have been shortlisted for this exhibition hosted by Andrea Bigiarini with illustrious jury members Gina Costa (TheAppWhisperer Columnnist) and Brett Chenoweth. NEM is a museum without walls committed to the humanistic initiative of the mobile arts. The New Era Museum’s goal is to spread the concept that the making of a popular art form as a worldwide artistic movement is available to everyone with a mobile device. Yes!!! We have just published our latest Flickr Group Showcase and it’s absolutely breathtaking, filled will wonderful mobile photography and art images from all around the world. Our regular readers will know that the site has been a little quiet for the past week or so.
