Two New Editors for our Mobile Movies Column – Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita
We are delighted to announce two new editors for our Mobile Movies Column, Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita. Both are hugely supportive of this new and developing medium and are planning to invigorate this group. Baita obtained a degree in History and Contemporary Art and studies and supports examinations in History of Cinema at the University of Cagilari. She is a Professor of Italian and History and continues to cultivate her passion for art. Vox, studied Art History and Archaeology in Aix-en-Provence. Short Film Competition – BAFTA Qualifying ASFF 2015
BAFTA Qualifying ASFF 2015 is now open for entries. Looking for filmmakers who are driving the genre of short film forward through inspirational and innovative works. Whether you are an established or emerging practitioner, they want to hear from you. The deadline for entry is 31 May 2015. Accepting films in all genres: advertising, animation, artists’ film, comedy, documentary, drama, experimental, fashion, music video and thriller. Enter for your chance to be screened at the BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2015. Flickr App Updated To Include Video Capture
Flickr have unveiled a major update to both their iOS and Android versions of their app. The new design and new features include the ability to capture and edit videos, in combination with applying live filters. Search features have also been overhauled and also due to recent acquisitions on Flickr’s part, searching is faster and there’s a new tagging system that can auto detect objects, colours and scenes. You can also view the full EXIF data of a photo within the app too. iOS Videography App – Cine Lumiè – Temporarily Free
There’s a still version of this app called Lumiè that allows you to add Bokeh effects to your images, Cine Lumiè enables you to do this to your videos too. There are eight static effects and a further eight dynamic ‘super special effects’. Cine Lumiè usually retails for $1.99/£1.49 but today it’s free.
