Read Jobe’s thoughts about this critical subject (foreword by Joanne Carter). Take it away Jerry… “Those of us who came into artistic endeavours late, like me, find ourselves using photos to create our art. Of course, artists in traditional mediums might use photos also, as a reference, but that’s not how I use them. Artists that have been trained in traditional mediums are used to sketching out a work and getting the lines to look pretty much like what…

iPad Video Tutorial – iColorama Settings: Continuous Brushing by Jerry Jobe
The latest release of iColorama, in addition to adding some Bristle brushes that are amazing, added several new settings. I explained one new setting, Continuous Brushing, as best as I could on the iColorama Facebook group. Some people, however, are visual learners, so I put together this short seven-minute video to show the before-and-after effect of using the Continuous Brush setting. The video also shows the box which pops up when the “Warning when leaving a brush” switch is on.

I love to get right in there and find out about new apps. I usually don’t write about them, though, unless they are limited in scope. I prefer to give my readers an in-depth look at an app and its capabilities. But…

Stackables retails for $1.99/£1.69 and you can download it here. “You would think, after covering 92 iPhoneography apps (this is number 93), that I have covered all of my favorite apps. You would be wrong. It’s no secret that I do most of my apping in iColorama. It’s also no secret that I find Snapseed to be indispensable for quick, quality edits. And I’ve raved over apps by Pixite and JixiPix. But today’s app, Stackables, is such a joy to work with that I find…
